Briefly About Glass Tube Cutting
Glass tubes are needed in countless industrial areas and in everyday life. Suffice it to think of fluorescent tubes or incandescent lamps. However, cutting glass tubes requires special tools to ensure the result is flawless and accurate. Our company helps you with this!
One way of cutting glass tubes is by using a special glass cutting machine. A scoring roller scores the glass tube and then another roller snaps the glass piece at the score. If necessary, that snapped end is melted with a flame.
Another way of cutting glass tubes is to cut the fixed glass tubes to the required size with a diamond cutting disc, thus obtaining polished ends. This way we can cut the glass tube to as short as 1.5 mm.

Detailed presentation of the project content:
The current development project of Fátyolüveg Kft. is aimed at improving production efficiency, product quality, digitalizing operational processes, reducing energy costs, and modernizing the building. The primary goal of the investment is to serve customer needs at an even higher level, increase market competitiveness, and strengthen environmental sustainability aspects. Machine procurement – modernization of glass bottle decoration: As part of the project, four new, modern pieces of equipment will be purchased to automate and expand the capacity of screen printing workflows on glass:
- Color automatic rotary screen printing machine for glasses – enables fast and high-precision multi-color printing, which is essential for premium-looking products.
- CNC-controlled rotary screen printing machine with positioner – significantly improves printing quality and reduces the scrap rate through precise positioning.
- 360° screen printing machine for oval and square bottles – ensures accurate and all-around screen printing of non-circular cross-section glasses, which is currently only possible to a limited extent with manual work.
- Automatic bottle UV dryer – allows for the fast and energy-saving drying of screen-printed products, thereby increasing throughput and reducing the chances of errors.
- Procurement and inventory management system (cloud)
- Electronic document management system (cloud)
- Production and service management system (cloud)
- Significant heat loss reduction can be achieved through sandwich panel vertical insulation (18 m2), replacement of plastic doors and windows (54.2 m2), and the installation of an industrial gate (6 m2).
